Fontalic changes ordinary text into styled Unicode characters you can copy and paste. It does not install a font on your device.
Fontalic is a collection of browser-based text tools. Type your text, compare the available styles, then copy the version you want. You can start with the main Font Generator or choose a more specific tool from All Generators.
Usually, no. Most Fontalic tools map normal letters to Unicode characters that already exist in your device or app. That is why the result can often be pasted without downloading a font file. Our How Fontalic Works page explains this in more detail.
Enter your text in the input box, look through the results, and use the copy button beside the style you prefer. Paste it into the destination app and check it before publishing.
No. The public text generators do not require registration or a sign-in.
The public generators are available without a usage fee. Your internet provider or the app where you paste the text may have its own charges or rules.
Apps, operating systems and devices do not render every Unicode character in the same way. A platform may replace an unsupported character, show a blank box or use a fallback style. Always test the final text where it will appear.
Word may substitute characters or apply its own formatting, especially when a symbol is not supported by the selected typeface. Try pasting as plain text, choose a widely supported typeface and check the saved document before sharing it.
No. Platforms can limit characters, change rendering or update their rules without notice. A style that works in a profile name may not work in a username, caption or message. Test a short sample first.
Not always. Screen readers may announce decorative characters one by one or incorrectly. Use styled text sparingly, and keep important names, instructions and calls to action in normal text.
Unicode characters themselves are not a downloadable font licence. You are still responsible for the words, names, logos and trademarks you use, and for following the rules of the platform or project where the text appears. See our Terms of Use.
Not every Unicode style contains a matching character for every letter, number, accent or language. When there is no sensible match, a generator may leave the original character unchanged.

Decorative text is best used for short accents such as a display name or heading. Plain text is usually easier to read, search and access.
