The image flips the actual rendered letters. It preserves line order and mirrors each line horizontally.
Three different ways to mirror text

For example, reversing ABC gives CBA. Those are still ordinary letters. A true mirrored image also reverses the shape of the B and C. Unicode has no complete mirrored alphabet, so a text substitute cannot reproduce every reflection.
How to make mirrored text
- Type or paste a short message.
- Choose the output type. Use reversed text for letter order, Unicode for an approximate copyable effect, or image mode for a real reflection.
- For text outputs, choose whether line breaks stay in place or the whole message reverses.
- Copy the text result, or download the mirrored PNG.
Mirror text for T-shirts and transfers
Choose True mirror image if your transfer process requires reversed artwork. Download the PNG and check it in your printing software. Follow the transfer material’s instructions: some workflows mirror in the printer or cutter settings, while others need the artwork mirrored first.
Mirror only once. If both the image and the print setting apply a horizontal flip, the two flips cancel. A quick test with an asymmetric word such as “READY” makes the orientation easy to see.
The PNG is raster artwork, not a cutting-path SVG. Set its final dimensions in your design or print software and check the edges at that size. For bridged cut-out lettering, use the stencil generator.
Copying mirrored letters into a bio or message
Unicode mode uses a small set of visual substitutes, such as b and d or p and q. Some lowercase letters use characters from other writing systems. Unmapped letters, numbers and emoji keep their original shapes while their order reverses.
These symbols can look different across apps and fonts. They may also be pronounced differently by screen readers or behave unexpectedly in search and usernames. Keep essential contact details and long passages in ordinary text.
Line breaks, accents and emoji
“Reverse each line” keeps your paragraph order. “Reverse the whole message” reverses the line order too. Where supported, the tool keeps combined characters and emoji sequences together when reversing. Image mode keeps the lines in their original top-to-bottom order.
For mixed right-to-left and left-to-right writing, inspect the result carefully. Text direction rules can change the display order. Use the image preview when the visual result matters more than editable characters.
Mirror text questions
Is reversed text the same as mirror writing?
No. Reversed text changes the order of characters. True mirror writing also reflects the letter shapes. Use image mode for a complete horizontal reflection.
Why are some Unicode letters unchanged?
There is no complete set of mirrored Unicode letters. This tool substitutes a limited set and leaves unsupported shapes unchanged, so the result is approximate.
Can I turn backwards text back to normal?
In Reversed text mode, click Use result as input. Reversing the same text twice restores its character order. Unicode substitutions are not guaranteed to restore the original characters.
Does the PNG have a transparent background?
Choose Transparent in image mode before downloading. The preview may appear white on this page, but the exported background is transparent.
Can I print the mirrored result?
Download the PNG, open it in your design or printing software and set the print size there. Check whether your transfer process already mirrors the image, so you do not apply the flip twice.
