Choose a symbol • Place it • Copy

Royal describes the styling here, not an official royal typeface. Crown symbols copy as characters; gold colouring and metallic effects do not.

Choose the symbol, then place it before or after the name.

A crown and a chess king are different characters

The Crown tab uses 👑. The Chess tab uses ♔, the white chess king. They suggest a similar theme, but they are different symbols with different meanings and shapes. Unicode crown entry and chess character reference.

Try both beside Aster Court. Choose the treatment that still feels balanced at the size of the actual display name. The emoji artwork may look different in the destination.

Let the name do most of the work

One symbol is usually enough to establish the theme. Keep the wording intact, choose whether the decoration leads or follows, and check the complete result before copying.

Copy name only removes the ornament without making you retype the name. That is useful when a form accepts the wording but rejects the symbol, or when you want a simpler version elsewhere.

Gold belongs to the artwork

A gold preview does not mean gold text can be pasted into a plain-text field. Colour, shadows and metal textures belong to the app’s formatting or to an image.

If you want a gilded invitation heading, work in a design editor. If you want other small accents around a name, browse Symbols.

Royal questions, answered

What font is used by royalty?

There is no single official typeface represented by this tool. Royal is the visual theme of its name decorations.

Is ♔ a crown?

Its Unicode identity is white chess king. Use the Crown tab when you specifically want the crown emoji 👑.

Will the copied name stay gold?

No. Plain-text copying carries characters, not a metallic finish or a chosen text colour. The destination decides their presentation.

Can I remove the crown without losing the name?

Yes. Use Copy name only to take the original wording without its surrounding symbol.
