Turn non-sensitive sample wording into block-based censor effects for fictional files, puzzles, game props or posts. This is a visual masker, not a privacy tool.
Never enter passwords, account details or confidential information. The input remains in this browser and the copied mask can reveal length and spacing.
Redacted text can mean a visual effect used in a fictional file, puzzle, poster or social post. It can also mean the permanent removal of private information from a real document. This page is only for the first purpose. Its six focused modes create exact-length masks, punctuation-aware masks, fixed segment bars, compact segment bars and two puzzle-style clues while preserving line breaks.
The tool runs in your browser and does not send the text through a form, but that does not make it suitable for secrets. A decorative mask does not sanitize a document, remove metadata or prove that the original information is gone. The number of blocks and spaces may still reveal the length and shape of the wording.
Never type a password, account number, medical detail, private address or confidential client information into a decorative generator.
Real redaction permanently removes selected content from the shared copy. A proper workflow can also remove hidden text, comments, metadata, attachments and layers. Use trusted document-redaction software and follow the rules that apply to your organization for legal, medical, employment, financial or government records. Review the finished file independently before release.
A censored-looking line can support an escape-room clue, fictional case file, mystery graphic, comedy post, game asset or spoiler label. Keep the effect short and pair it with plain text when people need instructions. Check after pasting because block widths and fallback fonts vary between devices.
